Louisa Stancioff plays indie folk music. Her Bulgarian heritage shows through in her intricate melodies. Her bandmates, Dave and Dan Kelly are brothers from Bucksport, ME, and with the addition of drums and the occasional ripping guitar solo, add some roll into the indie folk.

About
Songwriter and guitarist Louisa Stancioff, backed by her bandmates Dave and Dan Kelly, is quickly establishing herself as one of the premier musical artists in Maine. Her intelligent and soulful writing pairs with a confident and catchy indie sound drawing on folk, rock, pop, and her own European heritage. A nomadic soul, who spent stints living in Alaska, California, New York and North Carolina before returning home to Maine, Stancioff grew up learning traditional Bulgarian and French music from her paternal side of the family and reveled in singing American folk and roots tunes with her friends. Her debut record "When We Were Looking" is a dreamy, nostalgic polaroid that blurs the lines between indie stoicism and folk sincerity. It is a lush, cathartic work that hints at everything from Elliot Smith and Arlo Parks to Big Thief and Waxahatchee as it learns to find the beauty in grief and rebirth. The album is available on CD & Vinyl and everywhere else April 12, 2024.
